About this role
As an Applied Scientist (Platform Intelligence) at Amigo, you'll develop systems that automatically optimize platform performance, resource allocation, and user workflows. You'll build statistical models that learn from usage patterns to improve developer productivity and system reliability. Your work will make our platform increasingly self-optimizing over time.
What you'll do
Build statistical systems that automatically optimize resource allocation and platform performance
Develop intelligent recommendation systems that guide developers toward optimal configurations
Create systems that learn from usage patterns to predict and prevent potential issues
Design automated optimization algorithms for compute resource management and cost efficiency
Build anomaly detection systems that identify unusual patterns in platform usage
Develop predictive models for capacity planning and scaling decisions
Create systems that automatically tune platform parameters based on workload characteristics
Build intelligence into developer tools that provide contextual suggestions and guidance
Design A/B testing frameworks for optimizing platform features and user experiences
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate optimization capabilities into platform infrastructure
What we're looking for
Strong background in statistics, optimization, and applied computational systems
Experience building production systems that optimize infrastructure or user experiences using statistical methods
Knowledge of optimization algorithms and resource allocation strategies
Experience with time series analysis and predictive modeling
Understanding of distributed systems and platform architecture
Strong programming skills and experience with statistical computing frameworks
Knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design
Experience with real-time optimization systems and online learning approaches
Understanding of cost optimization and resource management in cloud environments
Track record of building optimization systems that improve system performance or user productivity
Nice to have
Experience with platform engineering or infrastructure optimization
Background in recommender systems or personalization algorithms
Knowledge of reinforcement learning for system optimization
Experience with developer tools and understanding of developer workflows
